Dr. Antony “Leslie” Innasimuthu is an Interventional Clinical Cardiologist with expertise in Interventional Cardiology, Clinical Cardiology, Preventive Cardiology, Vascular Medicine and Peripheral Interventions. Dr. Innasimuthu received his medical degree from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, India. He then moved to United Kingdom, where he completed his Internal Medicine training and was awarded Membership of Royal College of Physicians (MRCP-UK).After successfully completing MRCP and gaining experience in clinical cardiology and research, Dr. Innasimuthu moved to the United States to complete Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Clinical Fellowship in Cardiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, New York, Interventional training in the world renowned Interventional Cardiology program at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, making Dr. Innasimuthu an expert in Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular Interventions.
The experiences Dr. Innasimuthu received by training on three different continents have given him a unique perspective on the management of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Innasimuthu holds multiple Board Certifications in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Endovascular Medicine, Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Physicians’ Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).
Dr. Innasimuthu has also presented his research at national and international cardiovascular conferences and has published numerous research articles and reviews in national and international journals. Dr. Innasimuthu is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians, and is fluent in Tamil, Hindi, and Marathi.
